ABOUT
I'm a freelance audio journalist with nearly a decade of national news experience--specializing in stories on gender, fandom, and animation. You can find my work in Slate, The Wall Street Journal, Spotify Studios (formerly Gimlet), and NPR.
I currently live with my spouse and cat near Washington, D.C. Outside of work, you can find me going on a long walk, lifting, reading one of the many books I have going in progress, or watching anime with my husband.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
I am a jump-in-at-any-stage type of producer. I can take an assignment from pitch to publication, supervising every step of the process in between. Need an audio editor to tighten up your conversation show? How about someone to strategize and outline a new series? Looking for a booker who's worked with celebrities? Need a tape sync in the DMV? Let's talk.
In My Reporting Kit: Marantz 661 two-channel stereo recorder, shotgun mic + pistol grip, Roland handheld recorder, universal handheld mic, various XLR cables
Audio editing programs: Pro Tools, Descript, Quicktime, Audio Hijack

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
I've engineered interviews with presidents on moving buses and recorded picnics in Tehran. I've made studios out of hotel pillows and directed rolling coverage of some of the most important national stories in recent memory, from the death of George H.W. Bush to both of Donald Trump's impeachment trials. I produced, directed, and published hundreds of episodes of the award-winning podcast Up First.
