ABOUT
I'm an award-winning audio journalist with nearly a decade of national news experience--specializing in stories on gender, fandom, and animation. You can find my work in Slate, The Wall Street Journal, Spotify Studios (formerly Gimlet), and NPR.
I currently live with my spouse and cat near Washington, D.C. Outside of work, you can find me going on a long walk, lifting, reading one of the many books I have going in progress, or watching anime with my husband.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE
I am a jump-in-at-any-stage type of producer. I can take an assignment from pitch to publication, supervising every step of the process in between. Need an audio editor to tighten up your conversation show? How about someone to strategize and outline a new series? Looking for a booker who's worked with high-profile newsmakers, government officials, or celebrities? Have a sudden tape sync in the DMV? Let's talk.
In My Reporting Kit: Marantz 661 two-channel stereo recorder, 2 shotgun mics + pistol grips, Roland handheld recorder, universal handheld mic, various XLR cables, mic pole, table mic stand
Audio editing programs: Pro Tools, Descript, Quicktime, Audio Hijack

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
In 2024, I developed and launched Slate's premier health and wellness podcast Well, Now -- hosted by Dr. Kavita Patel and nutritionist Maya Feller. Within the first week of launch, the podcast received over 80,000 downloads and 55,000 unique listeners.

In 2022, I received an Ambie for Best News Podcast as a Up First production team member.
In 2018, I planned, produced, and reported for 10 days in Iran, engineering two live broadcasts from the country.
I've engineered interviews with presidents on moving buses and recorded picnics in Tehran. I've made studios out of hotel pillows and directed rolling coverage of some of the most important national stories in recent memory, from the death of George H.W. Bush to both of Donald Trump's impeachment trials.
